Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - located at the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock festival, this venue has a great yearly lineup of A-list musicians, comedians, and more. They also have seasonal festivals year round.

Forestburgh Playhouse - this organization puts on amazing musical theater in a very upstate vibe. The productions are exciting and inventive and take place in a barn converted to a playhouse. They also have a tavern for cabaret shows. Their season is from June to August.

Shandelee Music Festival - This classical music festival has been taking place for over 30 years bringing world renown musicians to the area in a very intimate setting. Concerts take place in a pavilion in a wooded area of Shandelee and there are only about 5 concerts per season. Get your tickets early as they sell out quick!

Catskills Pride - Catskills Pride is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that uplifts LGBTQIA+ people and allies across the rural Catskills with vibrant social networking, educational programs, and arts and tourism initiatives—transforming mountain towns into a year-round celebration of inclusivity and community spirit.

Callicoon Theater - Built in 1948 this one- screen movie house shows current box office hits as well as hold independent movie festivals. Get dinner at a local restaurant and then walk over to see a show!

Catskills Art Space - The Catskill Art Space is a nonprofit multi-arts center in Livingston Manor that transforms a historic theater into four galleries, studios, and performance venues to showcase contemporary exhibitions, classes, screenings, and community-driven arts programming.

Skiing @ Villa Roma Resort - Just a quick five-minute shuttle from Villa Roma Resort, the ski hill features three scenic slopes and two thrilling snow tubing runs, complete with a chairlift, on-site equipment rentals, and a friendly ski school welcoming all ages and abilities. After your last run, cozy up in the Ski Chalet by the fireplace with a hot drink and snack as you swap stories of the day’s best turns.

Skiing @ Holiday Mountain - Holiday Mountain features seven groomed trails—two beginner runs, three intermediate slopes, and two advanced pitches—served by two chairlifts, plus a terrain park and night skiing to extend the day.

Woodstock Museum - stay warm by visiting the Woodstock Museum at Bethel Woods, As you step inside the exhibit you hear the echo of 450,000 chanting “no rain” and see the stories of those who were actually there. Through artifacts, films, music - and even a hippie bus - you will be inspired not only by what was the most prolific three-day festival in history, but by the ideals that still remain relevant today.

Ice Skating & Snowshoeing - breakup the winter doldrums and head out ice skating at Roscoe Mountain Club. Host a birthday weekend ice skating overlooking the snow-covered landscape.

Catskill Flyfishing Festival - Roscoe - The Catskill Flyfishing Festival is an annual free, all-ages late-winter gathering at Roscoe’s Rockland House—hosted by the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum and the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild—that celebrates the region’s storied fly-tying heritage through live demonstrations, hands-on workshops, and community camaraderie, casting forward to conservation education and the upcoming fishing season.

Fly Fishing Opening Celebration - Livingston Manor - Celebrate the start of the Catskills fly fishing season at Livingston Manor’s Fly Fishing Opening Day, where expert-led casting and fly tying lessons meet live roots music and craft beer at the iconic Catskill Brewery. Whether you're a seasoned angler or just curious, it's a welcoming, hands-on way to dive into the region’s rich fishing heritage.

Easter Egg Hunt - The Delaware Youth Center’s annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place each year on the Saturday before Palm Sunday at noon, featuring age‐grouped egg hunts, photos with the Easter Bunny, dance activities, and playground fun on its Callicoon grounds. Also check out local hotels as they may be running easter egg hunts of their own!

Flower Day - Flower Day in Livingston Manor is an annual townwide spring festival featuring hands-on planting workshops, live music, garden-themed vendors, and green-practice displays—all raising funds for the volunteer-driven Livingston Manor Renaissance beautification efforts.

Farmhouse Project Spring Makers Market - The Makers Market is a thoughtfully curated experience that brings together over 65 artisans from across the region. Expect to find everything from handmade ceramics and home décor to finely crafted jewelry, textiles, and more. Every piece tells a story, and you’ll have the chance to meet the makers behind the goods — talented artists, designers, and craftspeople working out of studios and workshops throughout the Catskills and beyond.

Spring Craft Fair - Callicoon’s annual Spring Garden & Craft Fair at the Delaware Youth Center transforms its grounds into a lively open-air market where vendors showcase garden-inspired plants, bulbs, birdhouses, artisan crafts, self-care and wellness products, with refreshments available throughout the day.

Field + Supply Spring Market - Kingston - A modern interpretation of the traditional arts and crafts fair, bringing together over 275 carefully curated makers of home goods, clothing, and accessories with live music, local food vendors, and interactive demonstrations in an open-air, festival-style setting at Kingston’s Hutton Brickyards.

Landers River Trips - Landers River Trips invites paddlers to raft, canoe, kayak, and tube along 50 miles of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River. For families seeking a gentle float or adventurers chasing class II–III rapids, they provide all gear, expert guidance, and shuttle service for a stress-free Catskills escape.

Tractor Parade - The Callicoon Tractor Parade is a beloved annual spring celebration where over 200 vintage and modern tractors rumble down Lower Main Street at noon on the second Sunday of June, followed by a festive BBQ, T-shirt sales, and family-friendly fun at the Delaware Youth Center to support local youth programs.

Trout Parade - Livingston Manor’s Trout Parade feels like a joyous block party, with a yearly theme, floats and costumed marchers grooving down Main Street to live brass-band beats. Between the vibrant vendor fair, silent auction and sunshine-soaked after-party, it’s a feel-good kickoff that celebrates summer while rallying support for local music education and food pantries.

Deep Water Literary Fest - The Deep Water Literary Festival is an annual immersive celebration across Narrowsburg that transforms the town into a literary playground with themed readings, performances, panels, music, and art installations each summer.

July

4th of July Fireworks - Patriotic displays of fireworks happen all around the Western Catskills. Ask around at local businesses and check town websites to see where you can watch the show in your area!

Narrowsburg Riverfest - Narrowsburg’s Riverfest is a day-long riverside celebration featuring artisan vendors, live music, a benefit poster auction, hands-on kids’ crafting, street theater, and the beloved River Dogs Parade—celebrating art, ecology, and community along the Delaware River.

Weekend of Chamber Music - The Weekend of Chamber Music (WCM) is an intimate, multi‐venue festival running mid-July in Sullivan County, celebrating three hundred years of the chamber tradition—from Haydn and Beethoven through Ginastera and Augusta Read Thomas—via concerts, open rehearsals, salons, and artist talks.

Reber’s River Trips - Reber’s River Trips, based in Barryville, New York on Scenic Byway Route 97, has been guiding personalized rafting, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, and party‐raft adventures down miles of the pristine Delaware River since 1947, complete with experienced crews, a convenient riverside livery, and daily wildlife sightings.

Callicoon Country Fair - A hamlet-wide event with art, music, food, and fun! Vendors offer antiques, art, craft, food, locally made artisan goods, flea market items, jewelry and more. Wander along the historic streets, view the architecture and admire the beautiful Delaware River. Its a full day of live local entertainment, shopping, dining, kids’ activities and more! Musical performances will be intermingled with over vendors from throughout the region. Local farms, artisans and craftsmen will be selling their wares.

August

Divas Down the Delaware - Join Catskills Pride for a fun float down the Delaware. Tickets include rafting, transportation and a lunch with entertainment.

Chicken BBQs - when driving around towns look for signs for local Chicken BBQs which fundraise to help local communities.

Bethel Lakeside Music Festival - Bethel Lakeside Music is a free, weekly summer concert series that brings community members together for live music and informational presentations against the scenic backdrop of White Lake.

September

Conductor’s Clambake - Annual fundraiser blending seaside tradition with Catskills charm. Includes steamers, corn on the cob, live bluegrass music, and family-style seating on the Town Green.

Harvest Festival - Bethel Woods - In its 25th year, the Harvest Festival is an annual fall farmer’s market, craft fair, and concert series at Bethel Woods spread out over six weekends, from late-summer to early fall. Each week features a different theme and special activities, from ax-throwing to circus performers, and more.

PorchFest - Livingston Manor

Big Eddy Film Fest - The Big Eddy Film Festival is an annual cinematic celebration of counter-current narratives in Sullivan County—sparking new cultural possibilities through immersive screenings, workshops, and art installations in intimate rural venues.

Honeybee Fest - The Narrowsburg Honeybee Fest is an annual Main Street celebration that buzzes with live hive demonstrations, honey tastings, artisan vendors, and hands-on activities dedicated to raising awareness and appreciation for our vital pollinators.

Callicoon Art Walk - Callicoon - This event showcases the growing art and music scene in the picturesque hamlet of Callicoon on the Delaware. The event will highlight the arts in unconventional spaces throughout the hamlet including storefronts and public spaces. Join us for casual meet & greets with featured artists, live music, theatrical performances, installations, workshops, book signings, contests and activities.

Holiday Tree Lighting - Callicoon’s annual Holiday Tree Lighting kicks off the holiday season each late November at the historic Train Depot with a community bonfire offering free s’mores, a hot chocolate bar, live performances, a special visit from Santa, and a toy drive benefiting local schoolchildren.

Holiday Market - Bethel Woods - Our beloved, large-scale Holiday Market is back, taking place over 3 days, beginning on Black Friday, and running through Sunday! Shop from 75+ local artisans and specialty food makers for holiday gifts, provisions, and more! The market is free to attend.

Dickens on the Delaware - Callicoon - Step back in time and celebrate the holidays with charm and tradition. Shopkeepers and townsfolk in period attire bring the town to life, with beautifully decorated storefronts and streets adorned with festive lights, holiday trees, and wreaths. Delight in carolers serenading through the streets, live music, street theatre performances, warming outdoor fire pits, and horse & buggy rides that will transport you to another era. 

Very Merry Manor - Livingston Manor - Gift hunt at one of the local shops and then head on over to the tables in front of Sunshine Colony, where volunteers are set up to offer free gift wrapping (with very cute, brand new Livingston Manor gift wrap and tags!) a free Manor tote bag (with purchase at any business in town of $75 or more) free cookies and cocoa and live music!
